How do I get a free moving quote?

Are you available on July 1st?
Yes! We operate on July 1st. It is the busiest moving day in Montréal — book as early as possible since availability fills up several weeks in advance.

How much does a move cost?
Cost depends on the size of your home, the distance, the number of floors, and the services you choose (packing, disassembly, etc.). Call us for a precise, free quote — we never charge hidden fees.

Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Déménagement Pro Montréal is fully licensed (NEQ: 22 82 1245 46) and carries full civil liability insurance in Québec. Your belongings are protected throughout every phase of your move.

What areas do you serve?
We cover Montréal and the entire greater metropolitan area: Laval, South Shore (Longueuil, Brossard, Boucherville, Saint-Lambert), North Shore (Terrebonne, Repentigny, Blainville, Mirabel), West Island, and more. We also handle long-distance moves across Québec and Canada.

Do you offer packing service?
Yes, we offer full or partial packing service. Our movers bring all materials: boxes, tape, bubble wrap, and protective blankets. Ideal for fragile items or when you are short on time.

How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking 2 to 4 weeks in advance, and 6 to 8 weeks ahead for July 1st moves. That said, we also offer last-minute moving depending on availability — call us to check.

What should I do before your crew arrives?
For a smooth move: disassemble flat-pack furniture if possible, empty drawers and cabinets, make arrangements for plants and pets, and reserve a parking space near the entrance for our truck.

Do you move pianos, safes, and heavy items?
Yes. We have the specialized equipment (straps, dollies, sliding boards) and experience to move bulky items: upright pianos, safes, large appliances, and oversized bookshelves.

Do you offer long-distance moving?
Yes. We handle long-distance moves to all cities in Québec (Québec City, Sherbrooke, Gatineau, Saguenay, etc.) and to other Canadian provinces including Ontario, BC, and Alberta. Request a free quote for your destination.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept payment by cheque, Interac e-Transfer, bank transfer, and cash. Contact us to confirm the available options for your move.

What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled date are free of charge. For cancellations under 48 hours, fees may apply. Contact us as soon as possible if your plans change.

How many movers come for a residential move?
For a standard apartment (3½ to 4½), we typically send 2 to 3 movers. For a house or large condo, we recommend 3 to 4 people. We adjust the crew size based on your needs at the time of your quote.

Do you work in buildings with narrow stairs or no elevator?
Absolutely. Our teams are experienced with Montréal buildings that have exterior spiral staircases or tight hallways. We bring the right equipment to protect walls and your belongings throughout the move.

Are there cheaper times to move?
Yes. Mid-week and mid-month moves are generally less expensive than weekends and end-of-month dates. Avoiding July 1st also gets you the best rates. Contact us to check current availability.
